Ecologist wins Promising Professional award

800w-slrSLR Consulting Project Ecologist Emily Drinkwater has been presented with the 2015 Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management’s (CIEEM) Promising Professional Award.
Emily accepted the prize, which recognises the exceptional achievements of a CIEEM member during the early stages of their career, at the annual awards ceremony held at the Botanical Gardens in Birmingham.

Since joining SLR permanently in 2013, Emily has worked on a large number of interesting and varied projects including Greatmoor Energy from Waste Facility (EfW).
SLR Associate Ecologist, Andrea Wilcockson, who nominated Emily for the award, said: “The winner must demonstrate their expertise as well as a strong commitment to professional development.
“We are delighted that Emily’s hard work and dedication has been recognised.”
Emily, who works in SLR’s Worcester office and has an MSc in Conservation Ecology, said: “I’m proud to be the recipient of this award. I am thoroughly enjoying my time with SLR and would like to express my gratitude to my colleagues for their support.”
