VIRIDOR has appointed an engineering boss to lead its £1 billion investment in energy-from-waste and recycling plants across the UK.
Alan Cumming joins the board as capital projects and engineering director and will take charge of the company’s programme, working with partners and contractors to ensure engineering excellence.
Cumming has worldwide experience, most recently at EDF in its nuclear new build programme where he was deputy director of construction, project controls and procurement. Before that, he was director of capital projects for British Energy’s fleet of nuclear power plants. Also on his CV are stints at Kvaerner, AMEC and Brown and Root working on large projects in China, Indonesia and South Africa.
