The National Association of Drainage Contractors (NADC) has introduced a new accredited course – an addition to its existing range of courses accredited by EU Skills – that is said to be unique in bringing together electro-mechanical and milling elements. It is available from NADC-approved training providers across the UK and Ireland. The new course is in addition to the existing NADC Hi-Pressure Water Jetting, Drain Lining and CCTV Drainage Survey courses.
Martin Beattie, NADC Vice Chairman said: “We are delighted to be offering this new course which is extremely relevant with the growth of milling as a value added addition to the range of contractor services. It is the next step towards the creation of a comprehensive suite of courses and accredited qualifications for contractors across the UK and Ireland.”
Future courses to be introduced by NADC include a tailored SHEA Drainage and Sewer Course, a Vacuum and Tankering course, confined space training and a Pump Station Course.
Martin added “a fundamental element of the new DrainSafe approved contractor scheme that will be launched in the autumn and go live in mid 2020 is the competency framework that will require all approved contractors are fully trained and qualified for any service that they offer. NADC has set out to ensure that all the necessary training courses are in place in good time to allow contractors to achieve the requisite qualifications to sign up for DrainSafe.”
