Equipment manufacturer Ulster Shredders is introducing its newest shredder, the U-75LB. This slow-speed, twin-shaft assembly has been designed to be machine operator friendly. It is engineered to shred a variety of challenging materials.
With 50 years of experience in the sector, Ulster Shredders has engineered and manufactured a variety of bespoke shredders to meet individual requirements. The U-75LB has been a solution for one of the firm’s customers in the anaerobic digestion (AD) sector.
The precise and efficient shredding chamber effectively removes and separates the packaging from food waste which later is used for AD.
Sales director Paul Atkinson explained: “The U-75LB is an excellent tool for the biomass industry.” He continued: “we have creatively designed and engineered a shredder that meets the needs of our customers, while easing the operation of anaerobic digestion.”
Ulster Shredders has also manufactured a pusher-hopper. This piece of equipment can be added to any of the company’s shredders. The pusher-hopper supports the U-75LB by pushing all material into the shafts. This piece of equipment is designed to ease operation and eliminate any risks that may cause harm to the machine operator.
The year 2020 is an important one for Ulster Shredders as it celebrates 50 years within the engineering industry. For the last 30 years, the company has been engineering shredders to meet needs as diverse as confidential destruction, volume reduction and production processing.
