A new water jetting training academy – the first of its kind in the UK – is reporting strong demand for its courses with places booked up weeks in advance.
The Water Jetting Training Academy in Poole, Dorset, is the first to provide a full range of facility-based training rather than rely on courses being delivered at client premises.
The academy has broken the mould by creating the UK’s first permanent high pressure and ultra-high pressure water jetting training centre with a high quality COVID-19-secure learning environment.
ASL Group, the company behind the venture, has now taken the concept international, opening a similar centre in Dubai Industrial City, in the UAE, with a third planned in Damman, Saudi Arabia. Dr Robert Kennedy, Head of Training and Research and Development at the ASL Group, said: “Our academy concept has proved very popular. Clients appreciate receiving training in a safe and purpose-designed environment.”
The Academy delivers City & Guilds-accredited Water Jetting Association(WJA) Approved courses and a full range of first aid courses, with more planned. It has now launched a COVID Recovery initiative, offering training at the Poole academy at significantly reduced rates until 30th September 2021. Dr Kennedy explained: “Due to the pandemic, there’s a significant backlog of water jetting training. As we have extensive facilities and delivering training seven days a week, we can help our clients catch up.”
ASL Group delivers water jetting services to utilities, oil and gas and petrochemical industries globally and manufactures a wide range of heat transfer equipment.
