The innovation platform Start Up Energy Transition (SET) has published the SET100 list for 2025, providing its estimation of the 100 most promising energy transition and climate tech start-ups worldwide. The selected companies have applied for the SET Award, an international award for energy and climate tech innovations, which is organised by the German Energy Agency (dena) in cooperation with the World Energy Council.
Corinna Enders, Chairwoman of the dena Management Board, said: “The selected start-ups present tried-and-tested, forward-looking solutions that actively contribute to achieving our climate targets.”
“As trailblazers for technological innovations and scalable business models, they are accelerating the transition to sustainable, resilient energy systems – for the benefit of people and the planet. The SET100 list embodies the pioneering spirit we need to master the global challenges of the energy transition.”
Fifteen finalists present their solutions
15 start-ups from the SET100 list will also have the opportunity to present their solutions at the SET Tech Festival on 18 March 2025 as part of the SET Award ceremony. An international jury of renowned experts has selected the finalists from over 350 applications from 68 countries. The competition takes place in five categories:
