Award for energy business

ENERGY management firm Landis+Gyr has announced that its facility in the east of England has been awarded ISO 50001 certification, one of the first facilities worldwide to achieve the status.
“This is the culmination of many months of hard work and several years of continuous energy efficiency improvements,” said Peter Garwood, engineering and facilities manager at Landis+Gyr EMEA. “This globally recognised and accredited award helps Landis+Gyr save money operationally as well as helping us to conserve resources, reduce our carbon footprint and tackle climate change.”
The certification provides organisations with a framework to develop policies for more efficient energy use and to fix targets and objectives to meet their targets.
