Metasphere has just promoted Mark Davison, formerly Engineering Manager to the position of Engineering Director. Mark has been with the company for six years and has been responsible for the engineering management function for most of that time. His new role will see him taking up further challenges in the management of the company building on the experience gained over the last four years on the company’s management group.
Commenting on Mark’s appointment, Tim O’Brien, CEO said: “Mark has been instrumental in developing the company’s technological expertise and capabilities. He is our elected vendor representative on the WITS PSA (Protocol Standards Association) Committee and has excellent standing among his peers. We are very pleased that he is joining the board and know that we can rely on him to continue the development of new products and technologies.”
Most recently Mark’s team developed the DNP3 stack on two more if the company’s outstations and is further developing WITS on both of these RTUs.
The PSA Committee has ownership of the WITS protocol and is responsible for ensuring that the long term maintenance of the Standard is secure and does not become fragmented. The Committee comprises both vendor and user communities. Mark is one of the elected vendor representatives.
