SCOTTISH Water is the best place to work in Scotland.
The organisation lifted the title at the recent HR Networks Scotland awards in Glasgow where it was shortlisted with Scottish Gas and Tesco. It edged out the competition due to measures such as employee engagement groups, training and development, health and safety events, family-friendly policies and employee benefits.
“We have worked hard to make Scottish Water a great place to work through some very innovative programmes, from lunchtime quizzes to giving all employees two days of volunteering time each year,” said Shirley Campbell, director of people and organisational development.
“Happy and engaged staff are a direct link to great business performance. We believe that by making Scottish Water a great place to work means we have employees who go the extra mile.”
