SOUTH East Water has commissioned measurement company Elster to provide up to 120,000 boundary boxes over the next three years.
The Ajusta box has a screw-down height adjustment that allows it to fit different pipe depths without sacrificing rigidity and Elster says the design offers operational savings.
Elster has previously provided products to the water company. In 2010 it was recruited to supply 250,000 volumetric water meters with wireless automatic meter reading systems.
Every day South East Water supplies 565 million litres of drinking water from its water treatment plants along 14,500 kilometres of mains.
