Following its acquisition by Xylem, pump firm Godwin has been taking advantage of a position that allows it to sell directly to customers as well as offering its self-prime pumps through Xylem Flygt rental.
Godwin is claimed to be the world leader in self-prime pumps which are used in water, wastewater and industrial fluid applications ranging from digester cleaning and sludge removal in municipal applications to drainage in mines and quarries.
Handling solids up to 125mm in diameter, the Dri-Prime high volume, medium head CD series and medium volume, high head HL series all prime automatically from dry to 8.5 metres of suction lift. They can re-prime from dry thanks to the mechanical shaft seal being located within its own liquid bath to dissipate heat through the pump casing.
