GE Healthcare won praise for its green credentials recently when it became the first company to be presented with a new environmental award.
The company is the first ever winner of the Green Progress trophy and was praised by judges of the Thames Valley Business Awards for its inclusive approach to waste and environmental management. Waste management company Grundon sponsored the category.
“This year the quality of the entries has been absolutely our best ever,” said awards chairman David Murray.
GE Healthcare was one of eight businesses to pick up awards at the event which took place at the Royal Berkshire Conference Centre in Reading with Dragon’s Den star and award-winning businesswoman Hilary Devey as guest of honour.
