AN architecture firm has won the go-ahead for its first major waste project after securing the contract to design a new residual waste treatment facility in Wakefield.
CPMG is working with main contractor Kier on the new plant at South Kirkby which will be able to process up to 230,000 tonnes of municipal waste a year.
CPMG has been involved in the master planning of the four sites across this project for seven years and will be designing a family of buildings for the facility.
