Co-ex soil pipe uses high level of recycled content and looks good

Marley Plumbing & Drainage

Marley Plumbing & Drainage has launched its new 110mm co-ex soil pipe, which is said to combine at least 30 percent recycled content with the quality and aesthetic advantages of co-extrusion technology.

This latest product is manufactured and certified to BS EN 1329, producing a higher specification product than standard PVC pipe. It combines the environmental benefits of using recycled material with improved weathering performance and higher gloss levels, not to mention being colour matched to all standard 110mm Marley soil fittings.
Samantha Park of Marley Plumbing & Drainage said: “The manufacturing process of the new co-ex soil pipe takes the performance characteristics of co-extrusion technology one step further, in producing a durable yet aesthetically pleasing product, whilst creating a more environmental solution with a minimum of 30 per cent post-production recycled content.” Co-extrusion is a process by which two different materials are extruded at the same time to make one product. In the case of Marley’s new 110mm co-ex product, the process uses a higher specification material to form a decorative layer on the outside of the pipe, which by its very nature, is infinitely more durable.
