NAPIT dispels ‘heat pump myths’

The National Association of Professional Inspectors and Testers (NAPIT) is working with ground source heat pump manufacturer Kensa to help dispel what it sees as “the myths surrounding ground source heat pumps” with a series of roadshow events.

From September to March these free seminars, led by Kensa, will visit 18 locations across the country. They are also supported by The Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) and Plumbase Renewables.
Commenting on the events, Kensa marketing manager Stephanie Gregory said: “Our Installer Roadshows promise to challenge and unmask misconceptions and myths of ground source heat pump technology, taking a general look at the renewable industry itself and the impact the Renewable Heat Incentive may have on installers’ customer bases, and ultimately their businesses. NAPIT’s support compliments our objectives to develop a nationwide network of quality ground source installers by providing that next step to MCS accreditation – and the ‘£100 off’ they are offering will certainly be well received.”
Tailored to heating and plumbing engineers and Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) certified installers respectively, the events will provide new insights to help installers make the most of renewable technologies and Government incentives.
