DETAILS of the Government’s new all-sector ‘Green Vehicle’ Funding Scheme are expected soon.
The scheme will provide funding to support the purchase of cars, vans, buses and other vehicles and will be available to public sector, business and private buyers across the UK – including for leased vehicles – and will be available for any vehicle that meets the eligibility criteria regardless of technology type. A city scheme is also planned which is likely to see a Scottish city named as a funded flagship city for Ultra Low Emission Vehicles.
An event in Edinburgh in February (date to be announced) promises to explain the ins and outs of the scheme. Titled “The Government’s New All Sector ‘Green Vehicle’ Funding Scheme: Understand It – Access It – Use It”, the conference will explain how to engage with the financial support available and give an understanding of how to plan for and deliver the use of low emission vehicles in the context of the proposals. There will also be detail about plans to see a Scottish city named as a funded flagship city for Ultra Low Emission Vehicles.
The event is being run by conference organiser Mackay Hannah.
