STAFFORD based Corgin, a supplier of environmental solutions for the waste, wasterwater and industrial sectors, places emphasis on the maintenance packages it makes available to clients – users of its odour suppression systems.
“Picture a large landfill site, windswept and exposed,” starts a press release from the firm. “Now place it just one field away from a burgeoning residential development, and you find yourself in the same situation as one of our favourite clients.”
The client in question was said to be “suffering under the backlash from a torrent of complaints”. The operations manager commissioned Corgin to install an effective form of odour suppression. “Taking all elements into consideration, we recommended our signature system, AtomisterAiro, to the client. 63 high tech nozzles were mounted upon wooden poles along the northern perimeter of the site, from where most of the complaints were arising.”
The system was designed to be as economical as possible, says Corgin, with wind vane control, meaning that the nozzles only operated when the wind was blowing towards the sensitive receptors.
“However, a large system, exposed to the elements spells out H-I-G-H R-I-S-K. Our client recognised that without a good maintenance package in place, something was likely to go wrong sooner or later. Taking out a Bronze CarePlan package meant that the risk was transferred from him to Corgin – he knows that as long as his system is covered by CarePlan, our warranty on the system is maintained.”
According to Corgin, the Bronze CarePlan package includes:
• 1 intermediate and 1 full service, carried out outside of normal business hours
• 2 legionella tests and reports
• 1 emergency call-out
• Technical support by telephone and
• All minor spares
The release continues: “As a result of CarePlan, our client has had constant peace of mind that his system is performing to standard.” Right then – glad it all ended well. Corgin also quotes a testimonial it received from this client: I would like to take this opportunity to let you know that since [the system’s] installation in January 2014 complaints from the sector of site covered by the system have reduced by more than 70%, clear evidence that the system works as it has been designed.”
The client email adds: “overall we are more than satisfied with the system.”
