Program announced for electronics recycling event in Salzburg

A program has been announced for the 17th International Electronics Recycling Congress IERC 2018, taking place 17-19 January 2018 in Salzburg, Austria. The event will bring together over 500 international producers, recyclers, equipment manufacturers, recycling associations, standards bodies, refurbishers, NGOs, regulators and many more.

Speakers scheduled for the event include the influential economist David McWilliams and Professor Jinhui Li, a well-known expert on the circular economy in China.

Workshop topics include: “Lithium Batteries Transport & Safety Issues” and “WEEE Recycling Prospects – State-of-the-Art Data on Stocks and Flows of (Waste) Electrical and Electronic Equipment, Components and Materials in the Urban Mine”

A program of plant tours includes:

– Montanwerke Brixlegg AG, Brixlegg
