UK gas analysis firm Geotech is relocating its operations in the UK to Cyan Park in Coventry.
The new offices will become the international headquarters for Geotech’s parent company QED Environmental Systems, headquartered in Dexter, Michigan USA, and forms part of the planned transition into a single autonomous business later this year.
The new facility will be responsible for all business operations in EMEA and APAC for the QED environmental business.
The 25,000 sq. ft. facility is currently being fitted out, including newly designed open plan offices, alongside the installation of purpose-built engineering facilities to ensure the business maintains and excels all current manufacturing and calibration standards, according to the firm. The site, which is planned for occupation in August 2018, will also house a ISO:17025 calibration laboratory to support the gas instrumentation business.
“Relocating to Cyan Park forms part of our strategy to build a world class environmental technology business under the QED brand, but also as a result of our continued and sustained growth and need for increased office and engineering space to continue to meet the high standards our clients expect,” explains Geotech’s Managing Director, Dean Kavanagh. “Geotech and the QED group companies are going from strength to strength, winning new business, investing in state-of-the-art technology and continuing to develop long-term partnerships with our clients. Being centrally based, close to the motorway network and international airports is an ideal position for our UK and international customers.”
Formed in 1972, Geotech has grown to become a trusted global manufacturer and supplier of portable and fixed gas analysers. It is now a QED Environmental Systems company and part of the US public company Graco Inc, which has a turnover exceeding $1.4 billion and over 3,700 employees worldwide. The wholly-owned facility on Cyan Park will serve as the global headquarters of Geotech and the International Headquarters for QED Environmental Systems.
Working with biogas, landfill, CO2 monitoring, groundwater, land remediation, medical and scientific sectors, the new international headquarters will provide state of the art training and events space and will see the business host its EMEA Distributor Conference in September.
The company says the move follows the recent announcement that the Geotech G100 laboratory analyser has become the first in the industry to receive the ISO 17025 certification.
Kavanagh adds: “This move positions us for further growth while reinforcing our reputation for accuracy, reliability and associated world-class customer service and support.”
