Battery technology showcase in Telford

The latest advances in energy storage and battery technology will be on show at Battery Tech Expo UK 2019, taking place 28 March at the International Centre, Telford.

Described as the UK’s largest free to attend trade exhibition dedicated to the advancement of battery technology, the event aims to provide “a great opportunity for engineering and science professionals to explore the Battery Revolution.”

This year’s speaker line-up includes: Williams Advanced Engineering, which will be discussing the commercialisation of Williams Formula 1 battery technology driving a unique approach to high performance batteries; ANSYS presenting on “How Battery Performance was Critical to Volkswagen’s I.D R Smashing an Electric Vehicle World Record”; Qinetiq – “Batteries go bang!”; Advanced Propulsion Centre, looking at “Opportunities for developing the UK’s electrified supply chain”; Oxis Energy on “Next Generation Battery Technology – Revolutionary Chemistry”; Horiba Mira – “A Case study in Battery Ageing: Findings and Implications”; Thermo Fisher Scientific – “Using new analytical technologies to study Li-ion battery degradation products”, and Innovate UK, discussing it “Faraday Challenge”.
