Setting boundaries

Dust-Detective-Closed

In recent months Casella has launched an improved version of its Dust Detective Enclosure, which the firm believes will make an impact in short-term boundary and environmental monitoring in both indoor and outdoor environments.

The device can operate for more than 12 hours on its own batteries, and is said to be lightweight and portable. This product encompasses both the Microdust Pro real-time dust monitor and the Apex2 air-sampling pump.

The unit is seemingly easy to assemble and offers fast, real-time data that can be kept for analysis and reporting, permitting the identification of dust trends, areas of concern and hot spots where action is requred.

Casella says improvements have been made to the enclosure with the inclusion of quick-release clips around the measurement probe for faster set-up times. The portable enclosure’s internal layout has also been improved, allowing everything to be contained neatly inside, including calibration devices.

Tim Turney, technical product manager at Casella, explained: ‘The new and improved Dust Detective Enclosure will ensure accurate real-time data are easy to obtain. The equipment’s speedy set-up process and increased internal space will make monitoring pain-free and allow site operators to easily carry all the necessary equipment around on site.
