Professional services firm Tetra Tech, a provider of consulting and engineering services, has welcomed Dr Ian Ross to its PFAS (poly- and perfluoroalkyl substances) team, which positions itself as a leader in providing science-based solutions.
A globally renowned PFAS expert, Dr Ross co-authored the Emerging Contaminants Handbook and brings over 30 years’ experience managing industrial pollutants to Tetra Tech’s UK environmental practice. Working with numerous national departments of defence, environmental agencies, airports, fire services, governments, and major oil companies, he has supported clients across North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia to establish pragmatic and effective PFAS management approaches.
Dr Ross will work with UK and global stakeholders to provide technical solutions for PFAS management, including the development of risk management and remediation strategies to restore sites contaminated by PFAS and other environmental pollutants.
On joining the business, Dr Ross said: “The environmental impacts of PFAS is a global issue that is receiving increased attention in the UK.
