National drainage awards

The first National Drainage Awards will take place on 23 November at Charlton Athletic FC, as part of the National Drainage Show. Organised by The National Association of Drainage Contractors (NADC), the awards are “a long overdue recognition for the great job that so many contractors do day in and day out for their customers, often in emergency situations.”

The line-up includes three Small Contractor of the Year awards, plus individual awards for Regional Contractor of the Year, National Contractor of the Year, and Irish Contractor of the Year. There will also be a supplier awards, and awards for training providers, and apprentices / trainees. Concluding the event are awards for Innovation of the Year, DrainSafe Contractor of the Year, and Lifetime Achievement.

The awards are open to all contractors, regardless of NADC membership. Winners will be selected by an independent panel of judges, and presented with awards by boxing legend Frank Bruno MBE who will also share some of his boxing memories in an interview with NADC Chair Julian Wynn.

Any firm interested in sponsoring an award, or in being nominated, should click on the ‘Awards’ tab on the NADC website (www.nadc.org.uk) where those interested in attending the dinner can also book their place.
