$6 billion from food and drink

A new study has highlighted the business opportunities from improving water efficiency in the food and beverage sector.
The 300-page report from Global Water intelligence says capital expenditure in the water technology market is set to rise to $6 billion over the next seven years. It focuses on the industries that are most water intensive and those that generate highly loaded wastewater streams.
“Despite being highly fragmented, the F&B industry is still one of the top three industrial water markets,” said Lola Arowoshola, the report’s chief author.
