Full steam ahead for high pressure valves

Steam system and flow control specialists Valveforce have launched a new range of High Pressure Two-Way Pneumatic and Electric Control Valves, designed to help maximise efficient operation of the energy centre at biogas and biofuel plants.
Valveforce, who can design, build and test to create high quality bespoke valve systems, as well as provide off-the-shelf solutions, have also ensured that these new High Pressure Valves provide safe control in AD environments.
Designed in a straight through globe style with precision cast bodies for maximum capacity, Valveforce’s High Pressure Valves can handle a wide range of fluids found at renewable energy and fuel plants, including water, thermal oil, steam, nitrogen and natural gases.
Marc Bozdogan, Valveforce’s Managing Director said: ”For turbine bypass applications in CHP and Energy plants, our control valves safely optimise power generation through superior control of steam let down stations”.

He added: ”Suppliers have usually only been able to provide these types of valves with lead times of to around 20 weeks, accompanied by what can be best described as a ’specially reserved’ price for the expanding AD industry. This can’t be right for those with critical deadlines, so whilst like any besoke product the investment is tangible, we are confident that our lead times of less than 10 weeks, together with fairer pricing, are far more appealing”.
For quick change and ease of maintenance, these new valves are in optimised modular construction and benefit from a large range of actuators to overcome numerous AD/biofuel applications.
In addition to its High Pressure Two-Way Pneumatic and Electric Valves, Valveforce also supply Mixing and Diverting Valves for severe service applications. These include double and triple cage options that allow for maximum protection against cavitation, plus integral pilot valves to counteract excessive back pressure. Also for AD/biofuel plants, Valveforce can supply and design systems with Severe Duty Valves for maximum pressures of 250 bar. Made with fully guided plugs to reduce wear and increase their lifeitme, these valves have very high structual integrity with thick cross sectional areas.
