THE 4Delivery consortium is reported to be making good progress on a £9m upgrade of a wastewater treatment works in Winchester.
The consortium, comprising Veolia Water, Costain and MWH, is on target for a December completion on a job that includes construction of three aeration lanes. These will be used to pump oxygen into the wastewater to help the waste-digesting bacteria to thrive.
Other improvements include construction of new pumps, settlement tanks, generators and treatment systems and installation of a new ferric dosing plant to remove phosphate.
