Multi-stream renewables event returns in October

ENERGY generation event Nextgen 2013 will take place on 9 – 10 October at Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire, attended by farmers, landowners, specifiers, consultants, local authority representatives, energy managers, architects and project managers. This year’s event has a major focus on agri-rural renewables.

As a business platform for the bioenergy sector, delegates will be able to speak with key industry professionals, see live vehicle and equipment demonstrations and attend educational seminars. Designed to be clear and relevant to the different phases in renewable projects, the multi-stream conference includes presentations and topical panel discussions, taking place in four seminar theatres across the show floor.

Advice on deployment
This year’s agri-rural programme will focus on taking prospective project owners and planners through the challenges and opportunities of deploying renewables, in particular biomass and biogas. This will include an in-depth study of the process from start to finish, including selecting and specifying your renewables, sourcing feed stock, the business case, funding models, incentives, project planning, commissioning, operations, grid connection and proper lifecycle cost analysis. A mixture of talks, panels and case studies will be offered on both days.

Urban insights
Nextgen’s Urban Theatre is designed to give town planners, councils, developers and municipal and private building owners an insight into the opportunities and challenges around delivering to new and more stringent carbon reduction and energy consumption targets, with an emphasis on energy from waste, co-generation and district heating.
Speaker topics will include: ‘How will urban environments source their electricity in the future?,’ ‘Energy from Waste – a golden future?’ as well as an urban planning masterclass.
