Eco house grant

Posted on by in

RENEWABLE energy specialist Solarsense has been awarded a grant of £59,000 from the West of England Growth Fund to support the development of a Zero Carbon Hub and Training Centre.

The centrepiece is a zero carbon ecohouse, designed to generate more energy than it consumes each year. Electricity will be generated by roof mounted solar PV while heating will be supplied by a heat pump. The building will also showcase underfloor heating, energy storage, low energy lighting and other energy efficient technologies.
