Version 1.6 builds on the recently announced move to cloud hosting by introducing significant new functionality, combined with an improved user interface. One of these new functions is the ability for EyeNut to interface with emergency luminaires.
With the new emergency functionality, users will be able to set up automatic scheduling of functional and duration tests via the calendar feature in the user interface. Tests then run automatically and can be scheduled when a building is empty or distributed throughout the building to ensure minimum interruption to business operations. Once tests are complete, results automatically appear in the EyeNut interface and can be exported to external systems for audit tracking.
Emergency luminaires can be enabled for auto-testing using the new EyeNut Emergency Interface Adaptor. The simple adaptor interfaces with existing DALI self-test inverters, identifying the luminaire as emergency, initiating tests and reporting results. The Emergency Interface Adaptor contains all the functionality of a regular adaptor so emergency luminaires can also be controlled in regular operation mode. EyeNut version 1.6 also allows 3rd party sensor devices to be used on the wireless network, using a new feature where the EyeNut adaptor processes their signal via volt-free contact through a digital input terminal. This has the potential to further expand the range of applications to which EyeNut is suited.
