Process instrumentation specialist VEGA is taking its distinctive VEGATRUCK mobile training facility on a four-week tour of northern England, Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland, Wales and Scotland this October, bringing hands-on training in level and pressure measurement directly to customers.

Combining an American Kenworth W900 truck with a specially designed, expanding Formula 1-style trailer, the VEGATRUCK provides a 64 m² presentation and training area featuring a mini theatre, working instruments, live application models and interactive technology.

Visitors can see measurement technologies in action, handle instruments and discuss their own applications with VEGA specialists. Attendance is free, with timed tickets available through Ticket Tailor.

What to expect on board

  • Expert guidance: VEGA’s pressure and level measurement specialists will be on hand to provide training, demonstrations and advice on the company’s product range, as well as answer questions about specific applications.
  • Product demonstrations: Visitors can explore the capabilities of VEGA’s VEGAPULS 6X non-contact radar level sensor, alongside versatile and resilient level sensors for the water industry. Demonstrations will also cover process, hydrostatic and differential pressure transmitters, point level detection and radiometric measurement technologies. Working models illustrate applications including flow measurement, stormwater overflow basins, bulk solids handling, and processes in the chemical, petrochemical, food and pharmaceutical industries.
  • Wireless IIoT solutions: Explore VEGA’s battery-powered wireless radar solutions, designed to provide remote measurement capabilities and straightforward integration into industrial monitoring systems.
  • VEGA Inventory System: Discover how VEGA’s inventory management software (VIS) can support stock monitoring and inventory management processes.

Sensor setup with the VEGA Tools app: A live demonstration will show how instruments can be configured and adjusted using Bluetooth communications, compatible with all plics® sensors since 2002. Features include graphical data visualisation, a menu structure consistent with PACTware/DTM, and backup and restore functions.

With Scotland playing an important role in both traditional and renewable energy industries, the VEGATRUCK tour offers an opportunity to explore measurement technologies and discuss process instrumentation challenges directly with VEGA specialists.
