Pollutec 2014 puts spotlight on Africa and Latin America

THE 26th Pollutec trade show will run from 2 to 5 December at Lyon Eurexpo in France bringing together a wide range of expertise addressing issues such as the management of emerging pollutants, and the circular economy.
The event will include around 400 lectures, with topics already announced including regional waste management, the fight against illegal sites, the exploitation of plastics and metals, post-disaster waste management, the circular economy and the urban mine, smart water, rainwater management, and ecological engineering.
Building on its success in 2012, the show is hosting the second Sustainable City Solutions, an event that brings together experts to discuss the field of the sustainable city. Organized in partnership with the ERAI (Entreprise Rhône-Alpes International) and Grand Lyon, this global, two-day event (3 and 4 December) includes a symposium, workshops and visits to model sites in the Rhône-Alpes region.
This year’s event will also be shining the spotlight on regions of the world facing major environment and energy challenges, with a space dedicated to Africa in partnership with the ADEA (Association for the development of companies in Africa) and an ‘Export and foreign markets’ forum, which will host events including a programme of lectures and workshops dedicated to Latin America.
