Urea-ka!

YORK-based Dexter Watson has come up with an innovative sealed animal waste container, or “SAWC” for short.
The firm says it is often approached to design bespoke equipment to cope with difficult environmental issues. One such issue was the safe transportation of animal waste products ranging from culled and diseased fish arising from the fish farming industry to abbattoir and tannery wastes. It came up with a sealed rollonoff system that could easily be loaded and unloaded as well as prevent spillages and importantly contain odours.
The SAWC is now in service and comes in two variants: the MK1 with a 30m3 capacity and the MK2 with a 21.5m3 capacity. Both variants can be adapted for use on other projects such as filter units working in conjunction with air movers.
