No slowdown for lockdown
It seems that methane emissions continued their unrelenting rise in 2020 despite the economic slowdown that accompanied the response to COVID-19. A team of scientists from the University of Leeds has used data from the European Space Agency's Copernicus Sentinel-5P satellite to pinpoint locations with large surges in these emissions, and has reflected on the conclusions that can be drawn.
